We would like to score three points by winning the match tomorrow with the players I will send onto the pitch

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke on the day before the 2010 season J. League Twenty First Sec. against Kashima Antlers

I am very much looking forward to the match we will have tomorrow. This is the case with my team as well. A match against Kashima Antlers is always challenging no matter what the situation may be. Nevertheless, we have such a positive stance for this match. In an unfortunate way, it is true that we now suddenly have more injured players. However, there is no need for me to name those players since you already know who they are. Besides, some may think that I am trying to make excuses by naming those who are injured. Even though many players are not able to play in tomorrow’s match, we will try to perform as best as we can and gain three points by winning the match with the players I will send onto the pitch. I do not think I should comment much more than that.
In term of Kashima Antlers, I think that Marquinhos will most likely be playing on the front line tomorrow. He was away for some time recently. However, having him back in their team again will no doubt increase the risk we will face on the front line. Having said that, our team’s defenders Spiranovic and Nobuhisa Yamada are also very talented players. Therefore, I believe that they will defend the team in a stable manner.
By the way, according to some sources, it was reported that Nobuhisa Yamada was playing in the defensive mid-fielder position when we had the closed training session yesterday. It is interesting to know that there are many moles digging around beneath the stadium pitch (lol). The report said that Yamada was playing in the defensive mid-fielder position for 8 minutes out of 28 minutes practice match. Well, I would like to admit here that the report was correct. Yamada did play in the position for 8 minutes mid way through the match. However, it is most unlikely that he would play in that position as a starting line up member for the match tomorrow.
