We will try with a strong determination to progress in the Emperor’s Cup–Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the Emperor’s Cup third round match against Montedio Yamagata

Looking back at the results of past Emperor’s Cup matches, all were neck and neck. Teams played very close games and results were undetermined until the very end as there were many very narrow margins and matches often ran into playoffs or penalty shootouts. Since the Emperor’s Cup is a knockout tournament competition, we cannot tell what will happen in the end. Though Montedio Yamagata plays in a lower league than us, they have been playing well in the J2. I have no doubt that they will come to the stadium with an extremely high motivation to win against us.
We played the Yamazaki Nabisco Cup semi-final match last weekend. We will be playing the Emperor’s Cup match tomorrow and an important J. League match awaits us to play over the weekend. Our team still has the chance to win the title of any of these competitions. As the importance of each match increases, it is very difficult for us to keep a good balance in the team when we have a series of matches to play in a short period. Of course, our team wishes to progress in the Emperor’s Cup too and we have a strong determination to win. We will come to the stadium with our current best team members to play tomorrow’s game.
