We will continue to fight with utmost effort-Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the J. League Yamazaki Nabisco Cup qualifying round Third Sec against Cerezo Osaka

It hurts us whenever we lose in a match. The way I view the match was that though we lost the match by a big margin there was not a huge difference between our performances. Cerezo Osaka scored the first goal at the beginning of the match. But, our team had caught up by the end of the first half of the match. However, we lost two more goals before the end of the match. Our team had troubles when they lost the third goal. We lost several goals today. However, there were some good moments when they attacked the opponent team from the sides and the centre. Unfortunately, our team was not able to perform accurately enough in front of the goal area when they were trying to score goals, making last passes and attempting to break up the opponent team from the side by dribbling the ball. However, our team performed with utmost effort to score another goal even when the opponent team was leading the match with the score of one to three. They never gave up and displayed their fighting spirit, which was very positive. Our players were chasing another goal until the last moment though they were lagging behind. As a result, they were rushing a little and lost overall balance at times. Nonetheless, they fought until the very end without giving up.

We were able to identify what we were lacking today. We can take this result in a positive manner to improve ourselves. Young players had the opportunity to play again in today’s match. I believe that those young players can develop themselves through every match they play. We will continue to do our best for the remaining three Yamazaki Nabisco Cup matches in order to get through the qualifying round.

It was wonderful to receive full support from our supporters in our home stadium until the very end of the match today though it was a weekday and our team lost the match by a big margin of one to four. I would like to express our sincere appreciation for our supporters for their dedicated support.
