There was a good sense of tension appropriate for the commemorative match-Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the J. League 11th Sec match against Kashima Antlers

I don’t think it was coincidental that Urawa Reds and Kashima Antlers fought against each other in today’s match commemorating the 20th anniversary of the opening of the J. League. While Kashima has won the most numbers of titles over the past twenty years, Reds has attracted the most numbers of spectators into stadiums over the same period.

Anyone who had the chance to see the atmosphere in the stadium today would know that our team is the only team which can generate such an overwhelmingly great atmosphere in the stadium. There was a good sense of tension during today’s match which was most appropriate for the commemorative match. Since both teams performed so well, it would not have been a surprise if Kashima had won the match today. Though our team won the match in the end, both teams played very competitively.

I am pleased that we had such a good match today as we were able to call attention to the J. League by playing the 20th anniversary commemorative match.
