Team Manager Mischa - press conference after the match against Vegalta Sendai

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 2nd stage 3rd sec match against Vegalta Sendai

We knew playing an away match against Vegalta Sendai would be extremely difficult. At least, our team has not been able to win away matches in Sendai since I became the team manager. As we saw today, Vegalta Sendai was a united and dangerous team. During the first half of the match, we took good control of the match and made attacks to score goals. However, as we lacked precision in our last passes and kicks, we struggled to score goals.

As for the second half of the match, we played a relatively open game as we struggled in very hot and humid weather and have recently played a number of matches over a short period. As both teams tried to make attacks against each other, the game went on without any decisive moments. We were lucky to have been able to score the goal at the very end of the match. Having said that, I believe our players’ strong determination to win the match brought us the luck we needed. Our players did a tremendous job throughout the match.

Vegalta Sendai also did a fantastic job today despite their defeat. Both teams played a very good game together today.
