Team Manager Mischa - press conference after the match against Shonan Bellmare

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 2nd stage 7th sec match against Shonan Bellmare

I am aware that I often begin a post-match press conference with a similar comment lately but I must mention again that players of both teams had a very tough match to play as it was played in high temperature and humidity today.

Though they had to play under a very harsh environmental condition, both teams’ players did their best to fight through the match today. While our team won the match with a result of 4 to 1 today, I didn’t see as much difference in the performance of both teams as the final result suggests. Today’s hot weather made it difficult for our players to play well. They lacked sharpness in their moves and did not move as much compared to their usual play.

Having said that, our players had managed to show the difference in their quality of performance as time passed by in the end. They created a few scoring opportunities by moving the ball from behind and jumping out into spaces in the middle. However, there were several moments where they lacked in their moves and did not wage attacks in a more proactive manner.

Our players did well to win the match today. However, given their overall performance, I believe they are capable to pull out an even better match.
