Team Manager Mischa and Ketia Suzuki - press conference after the ACL match against Brisbane Roar

Comments made after the AFC Champions League, Group Stage MD6 match against Brisbane Roar

Comment from Team Manager Mischa
As you have seen, both teams played a fantastic match today. Both teams tried to take control of the match by passing and keeping the ball among themselves.

Urawa Reds performed marvelously during the first half of the match. We finished the first half by leading our opponent team with a result of one to zero. Essentially speaking, it wouldn’t have been a surprise had we scored a few more goals during the first half of the match.

After we scored the second goal during the second half, our team’s stamina started to drop and that’s when we started to receive attacks from Brisbane Roar. Our team struggled a lot after our opponent team scored their goal. Nonetheless, we managed to finish the match with a positive result of two to one. Looking back at the overall match, I feel Urawa Reds’ performance was deserving of the victory.

Comment from Keita Suzuki
Before I make any comments regarding today’s match, I would like to mention how sad I am feeling right now to leave ACL here today. As for the match, I feel our victory was justifiable from our performance as our team manager commented. Looking at the group stage we have been through, I am still not quite sure why we have been eliminated from the ACL.
