Team Manager Mischa – pre-match press conference the day before the match against Albirex Niigata

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 2nd stage 15th sec match against Albirex Niigata

Every J. League match is a tough one. I expect a hard match against Albirex Niigata tomorrow too. Though Albirex Niigata is ranked lower in the standings and will be battling to stay in the J1 League, it is a mistake if you regard this as a reflection of their true capability. Niigata has several high quality players and they are united as a team. There is no doubt that their current position in the J. League standings does not reflect what they are.

Albirex Niitaga players had three weeks of good rest and preparation during the J. League break. Meanwhile, our players battled hard in the Levain Cup matches. Our players have been playing matches continuously without any substantial rest for the past ten months since the season started. Our players will face tomorrow’s match under such a circumstance. The match will be a very important one for both teams. We will concentrate on the basics such as running, battling around the ball and being disciplined and will do our utmost to win the match tomorrow.
