Team Manager Hori and Player Endo attend an official interview session the day before the match against Shanghai SIPG F.C.

An official AFC Champions League (ACL) 2017 pre-match interview session was held at Saitama Stadium on the 17th of October ahead of the following day’s Semi-final 2nd Leg match against Shanghai SIPG F.C.. Urawa Reds Team Manager Takafumi Hori and Player Wataru Endo attended the interview session to express their excitement and determination for the upcoming match.

Comment from Team Manager Hori
As we are the only Japanese team currently remained in the ACL, we will do our utmost as a representative of Japan to fulfill our responsibility. Our opponent team, Shanghai SIPG F.C. is a great team. But, I feel we had also been able to prove our capabilities through our previous matches. I am pleased to be able to play in our home Saitama Stadium tomorrow. We would like to play well in order to win the match tomorrow so that we can bring much joy to our fans, supporters and all those who are concerned. Our team members have such high motivations for the ACL. We would like to show this through our performance tomorrow in order to move to the next stage.

Comment from Wataru Endo
There is no doubt that tomorrow’s match will be a challenging one for us. However, we will be able to play the match in our home stadium and I know that lots of our fans and supporters will create a great atmosphere for us to play in. As such, we will exert more than 100 percent of what we have got in order to win the match tomorrow to move up to the next stage.
