After playing the match against Albirex Niigata-Team Manager Finke

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke after playing in the J. League Twenty Forth Sec. against Albirex Niigata

Since we were not only able to perform well but also win the match in our home stadium today, I am sure that our fans and supporters are filled with joy just like us.
There is no doubt that our team is developing steadily. There is no stopping us to be a strong team in the future with the players we have now playing central roles in the team.
I thought that Niigata was playing really well during the first half of the game. They were pressuring us a lot and many of their players who tried to defend themselves from our team’s attack showed abundant stamina. When Spiranovic got injured and had to be replaced by another player, our team went through a difficult time for a while. However, looking at the overall match, I thought our players performed better than our opponent and our team’s defense was quite stable.
I thought that not only did each of our players play well in their own defenders, mid fielders and attackers positions, but all of them on the pitch helped each other to perform well. Our team created more opportunities with the ball this time. Considering the aforementioned reasons, it was justifiable that we won the match today. What made me feel happy is the fact that Yosuke Kashiwagi is slowly but steadily becoming more responsible for taking a central role in the team. I think he is also playing well as a mid fielder together with Hosogai. Having Nobuhisa Yamada play well in his center back position brings me so much pleasure as well since he has such a fighting spirit with much experience.
I am truly sad about having Takuya Okamoto leave to join the national team after this match. I certainly hope that he would do well for the national team. He has offered valuable assistance to the team and played such a stable defense role during the match today.
