Comment of the Gert Engels(Team-Manager)
“It was a very tough game for us. Since we have not played in the ACL for a while and as we were overwhelmed by the atmosphere of the away ground, we lost a goal from a set piece. Spectators got very excited and our opponent gained momentum because of that. However, we did play well during the first half. Edmilson scored a goal. We were able to finish the first half of the game with the score of 1 to 1 and considering that we played the game at an away ground, the result was not too bad. In the second half, we set our aim to score another goal. However, we conceded a goal from a free kick and we were not able to control the game from that point onwards. Our opponent was comforted by the fact that they were leading the game by 2 to 1 and that made us rushed. We were making attacks under pressure. For this reason, there were several dangerous counter attacks and one of which led to the penalty kick that made the game score 3 to 1. If we had to finish the game with that result, it would have been a very touchy result for us. As we had 10 players, I put Takahara in the game in the hope that he would score a goal. Edmilson scored another goal at the very last minute and this made the game score 3 to 2. This means that we still lost the game but if we could have made another goal in the first half of the game and if we were playing at our home stadium for the 90 minutes, we would have fought better. For this reason, the goals Edmilson scored were very significant.
