We will fight through the remaining eight matches at full power in order to be the top team–Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the J. League 26th Sec match against Ventforet Kofu

Since Ventforet Kofu had a good defense, the match turned out to be a tough one. As they won against Sanfrecce Hiroshima with the result of two to zero and Kashima Antlers three to zero, we expected that the match would be a difficult one. Though we had a form of attacks prepared, it was unfortunate it did not work as we intended. Nonetheless, our players fought against our opponent with a strong determination to win. It was difficult to execute good attacks as it was not easy to break through the barrier of opponent players when they were on their side of the ground.

Though our team gave a decisive chance to our opponent during the first half of the match, Yamazaki blocked their attempt to strike a goal with his fantastic save. Besides this moment, I do not think our team gave any other decisive opportunities to our opponent. We led the game by one point from a penalty kick. However, it was such a pity that Ventforet Kofu caught up with us at the very end. We still have eight matches remaining to play. Though the result of today’s match is a painful loss of two points to win the J. League championship, we will continue to fight through at full power in order to be the top team.
