We scored three very important points by winning the match-Team Manager Petrovic

Comment from Team Manager Petrovic the day after the J. League 19th Sec match against Kawasaki Frontale

Our team scored three very important points today. I am very delighted that our team managed to gain three points today by winning against such a fantastic team such as Kawasaki Frontale. I believe that today’s match will be the turning point for our team to have a good season. Kawasaki Frontale certainly was leading the match and controlled the game today. As such, we had no choice but to focus on our defence. But, having said that, there were some good opportunities for us such as Naoki Yamada having had a chance to score another goal for the team. We also had some chances to control the game as well.
Kato blocked Kawasaki Frontale from making a goal. Komiyama also kicked a nice long kick. In preparation for today’s match, our team went through some difficult situations such as Haraguchi not being able to have good training due to his ankle injury as well as Ranko Despotovic not having spent enough time with the team. Nonetheless, all the team members displayed strong mental strength. For this reason, we were able to dedicate three points to many of our fans that came to cheer us in the stadium by winning the match today.

As I have just said during a TV interview earlier, I am proud to say that we have good momentum now by winning 9 matches including Nabisco Cups with the result of 5 wins and 4 draws. I am extremely proud of our players. I think Kashiwagi performed really well by “assisting” the opponent team’s own goal.
