We are to have a good start for the match and we will perform well

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke on the day before the 2010 season J. League Eleventh Sec. against Yokohama F-Marinos

We were able to recover ourselves well over the past two days. Yokohama F-Marinos also had only two days to recover. I thought having only two days for our recovery was enough. As for the starting line up for tomorrow, I still have not decided yet. I will make the decision whether we will have the same starting line up members as last time or not after I examine how our players go throughout today.
We would certainly like to have a better start for the next match than the previous match. It is very important to have a good start. We struggled to perform well during the first 15 to 20 minutes in the previous match. It is true that we started to pick up and perform really well during the second half. Nonetheless, we would like to have a better start for our match this time.
As for the current team situation, there is a little question mark over our team. It is not a major one. Having said that, I cannot make a final decision until tomorrow. Before I make the final decision, I have to access the recovery condition of some of our players such as Edmilson and Tatsuya Tanaka who developed slight pains during the pervious match.
Even if those players cannot join the team, I have no intention of making a big fuss over it. This is because Sanou’s condition is getting better. Since the inflammation of his leg is getting much better, it is plausible to assume that he will come back to the team as a starting line up member soon. There are also excellent players on the bench. Genki Haraguchi proved himself during the last match that he is in good enough condition to play in any match at any time. As for Sergio, even though he was away for several weeks, he is now showing a strong interest to play in matches during team training. This is such a good sign. I think a real competition has been born among the team players.
