Team Manager Mischa - press conference the day before the match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 2nd Stage 3rd Sec match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima

As we continue to progress without losing any J. League matches, our next match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima will also be a challenging match for us. All teams that play against Urawa Reds come to the stadium in order to win the match, which has clearly been the case looking at the recent few matches we have played. As this is the situation we face, all we can do now is to play tomorrow’s match with all our might as a united team to outperform our opponent.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima has had a great start to the second stage of the J. League. The fact that they have scored ten points by winning their past two matches shows their strength and we must play the match against them with due respect. In comparison to Sanfrecce Hiroshima, we didn’t perform well against Montedio Yamagata during our previous match. Our players are fully aware of this and they know well that we would struggle to win tomorrow’s match if we can’t pull out a better performance than we did during our last match. For this reason, we will try to perform better in order to continue our record of no defeats and consecutive wins in our home stadium.

However, I am not too fixated on upholding our record. Nonetheless, I am certain that our players will come to the stadium tomorrow with a very strong determination to win and I am sure that they will play a great game.
