Team Manager Mischa - press conference after the match against Omiya Ardija

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 9th sec match against Omiya Ardija

We have lost today. But, losing a derby match is more painful than losing other ordinary matches. As we had anticipated, Omiya Ardija chose to play defensively while running and fighting hard. Against this, our team struggled to keep their stamina and move in coordination and were not able to pull out sharp moves perhaps because of their fatigue as well as the high temperature. As a result, our opponent team led the match with zero to one and we found it hard to catch up with their score. After Omiya Ardija scored the first goal, we started to play our style of soccer and had managed to create a few good scoring opportunities. However, we were not able to make the most of such chances and lost the match in the end.

Soccer is such a dangerous sport. We may have been punished as we were not able to play our style of soccer to our 100 per cent potential from the very beginning of the match. Though we had a strong determination to win against Omiya Ardija and to run and fight hard for it today, we couldn’t nail the opportunities we created to win the match.
