Team Manager Mischa - press conference after the match against Kashiwa Reysol

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 1st Stage 1st Sec match against Kashiwa Reysol
As you have just witnessed, matches played in the J League are very competitive and any team deserves victory. There was no exception for the match we played today.

As for the first half of the match, our team was able to put pressure on our opponent team from the front line and we had managed to gain good momentum. We created several good opportunities where our team members could have scored some goals without allowing any chances for our opponent to attack us.

Since we were playing so vigorously during the first half of the match, I thought it would be difficult for our players to sustain their good momentum for the entire 90 minutes of the game. During the second half, our team was pressed by our opponent for a little while after we scored a good goal. As a result, we lost a goal in an unfortunate way and Kashiwa Reysol caught up with us. This happened when two opponent players started to follow one of our players who was dribbling the ball. Kashima players managed to get the ball when our player kicked the ball towards the goal and the ball hit the goal keeper which made it possible for our opponent to score a goal. I guess the luck was not with us at that time either. However, after our opponent team caught up with us, I had a real conviction that our team would score another goal to win today’s match. I trust our players also felt the same. I am certain that they were confident and determined to win the match today by scoring another goal before the end of the match. I believe all of these points led to our victorious result today.
