Team Manager Mischa and Goal Keeper Shusaku Nishikawa attend official interview session the day before the match against Western Sydney Wanderers FC

An official AFC Champions League (ACL) 2017 pre-match interview session was held at Saitama Stadium on the 25th April ahead of the following day’s group stage MD5 match against Western Sydney Wanderers FC. Urawa Reds Team Manager Mischa and Goal Keeper Shusaku Nishikawa attended the interview session to express their excitement and determination for the upcoming match.

Comment from Team Manager Mischa
Our group in the AFC Champions League can be referred to as the group of death as the abilities of all teams in this group are extremely close. I regard Western Sydney Wonderers highly as a team that does well in their away matches. In this regard, tomorrow’s match against them won’t be an easy one. However, our team has prepared ourselves well for the match. We will unite together to do our best in order to win tomorrow.

Comment from Goal Keeper Shusaku Nishikawa
We are prepared to play a hard match tomorrow. All I can do as the goal keeper is to defend our goal no matter what. In addition, I know I can contribute to the team more as long as I can put my strengths forward. We will fight through with a strong determination to win the match tomorrow in order to break through the group stage.
