Second day at Miyazaki training camp-Team Manager Finke

Comment from Team Manager Finke after finishing the morning training session of the second day of the Miyazaki training camp
The main purpose of our first training camp is to work intensively on training to improve our stamina. In reality, there are so many different ways to prepare for a football season. Team managers from around the world prepare for their new seasons in so many different ways. In some extreme cases, some team managers do not use balls in their preparations for the first 14 days. But, some team managers use balls in every program of their training sessions. Based on my long experience, I think it is important to balance the two to come up with the right mix. If we only work on programs that strengthen stamina, players lose the ability to send the signals that their lower bodies need in order to move correctly with a ball.
During our training camp, I would like to spend our morning training sessions working on programs that require our players to use balls on the pitch as much as possible. However, in the afternoon, I am planning to introduce the types of programs that will enhance our players’ stamina such as running on the cross-country track in the forest.
