Preparing for the match with strong determination and will to win

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke on the day before the 2010 season J. League Seventeenth Sec. against Vissel Kobe

The bad news we had this week was that Naoki Yamada was injured during training. His recent condition is different from about 6 months ago when he was injured last. He is a very important player for our team. I hope the result of the check-up today will turn out to be positive. I really hope that the result will not turn out to be something serious.
As for Umesaki who was injured during the previous training match we had against International Budo University, he has now been working on a separate training program. We do not know when he can join team training again. However, the rest of the team members are all well. All eighteen players who participated in today’s training outside will go to Kobe tomorrow.
Our goal is certainly to win the match tomorrow. For this reason, I think it will be important for us to score the first goal. We would like to remain highly concentrated and control the match tomorrow. Another point I should mention is that I have discussed with my team why we have lost so many scoring opportunities recently. It is extremely important for us to address this issue in order for us to improve our performance and develop ourselves, not to mention, to have tangible results. We would like to prepare ourselves for tomorrow’s match with a strong will and determination to score goals without missing any of the scoring opportunities we create.
