Our team outperformed the opponent deserving the victory we had-Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the J. League 23rd Sec match against Shimizu S-Pulse

When we won our home match against Shimizu S-Pulse in Saitama with the result of 1 to 0 before, the team manager of Shimizu made a few criticisms regarding the way Urawa Reds players played the match. As it is not my style to make a counter comment under this kind of situation, I would just like to express my best wishes to him for the coming matches.

As for today’s match, I thought our team’s performance outdid our opponents’. During the second half of the match, there was a period when our team was pressed for a long time. We would have been able to finish the match with three goals if we had been able to make counter attacks against our opponent’s aggressive and risky attacks. We have often been told that we get pushed under similar scenarios during the second half. It would have been nicer if we had been able to score another goal.

I can see that our team and players are improving after every match. I am sure that our soccer fans have also been able to feel the same. However, I do not think it is possible for the players to learn and master everything within six months or so. Otherwise, I will lose my job after the season (lol).
