Considering how we played, finishing the match in a draw was justifiable–Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the Yamazaki Nabisco Cup 1st quarterfinal match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima

This is the second time for me to come to Hiroshima this year. But, both of my trips back to Hiroshima have been filled with sorrow. I would like to offer my prayers and express my sincere condolences for those who lost their lives and others who have suffered as a result of the landslides in Hiroshima.

Regarding the match we played, it was obvious that Sanfrecce Hiroshima was outperforming us during the first half of the match. They did better than our team in terms of their stamina and handling of the ball. It wouldn’t have been a surprise if Sanfrecce Hiroshima scored a goal or two.

However, our team did quite well during the second half of the match by picking up momentum and creating several goal scoring opportunities. Though we finished the match with a scoreless draw, it was justifiable considering how both teams played during the first and second half of the match today.

As we will be playing another match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima this week, today’s game can be regarded as the first half. I expect the second half of the match to be a tough one for both teams.
