After playing the match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima-Team Manager Finke

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke after playing in the J. League Fourteenth Sec. against Sanfrecce Hiroshima

I feel tremendously sad that we lost a match like we had today. As for the first half of the match, our team put so much into the game and tried to control the match aggressively from behind. However, our team’s efforts did not lead to scoring goals. In regards to the defense, there were no risky moments during the first half either. In this regard, the team did well during the first half of the match. During the second half, the team was not able to make the most of the decisive moments they had to score goals.
One of the major issues during today’s match was that we had to replace Spiranovic. I was hoping not to have to change him with another player. Unfortunately, though, we had to replace him with another player in the end. It was so unfortunate that I had to do this. During half time, he expressed his concern that he was not sure if he could last for the full 90 minutes. He told me that he would only be able to play for another 20 minutes. After he went onto the pitch, he gave me the gesture that he needed to be replaced twice. As a result, I had to change him. It was a great pity as he was playing so well until then.
We put so much into the much we had today. For this reason, the result we had today is so disappointing for us. Both teams were trying to win the match until the last moment. I thought that today’s match would finish with the result of 0 to 0 since so many players on the pitch were worn out.
