After playing the match against Nagoya Grampus-Team Manager Finke

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke after playing in the J. League Eighteenth Sec. against Nagoya Grampus

I would like to refrain from making a detailed comment about today’s match. This is because I do not think the result matched our players’ performance. I thought that our players were performing so well for a long time. Having said that, I recognize the fact that our team was unable to lead the match during the first half by making the most of the opportunities they created. Certainly this was one of our problems.
Nonetheless, our players did not give up until the last moment even after our opponent scored a goal. Our players showed strong determination to win and Ugajin’s goal allowed the team to catch up with their opponent. This is definitely something to be praised. What happened following that was terribly unfortunate. Our player passed the ball to the opponent team when they were kicking the ball near the penalty area. Of course, our players did not do this on purpose. However, this unfortunately created a good opportunity for our opponent. This was like shooting behind your leg by yourself with your own gun. We destroyed what we had built during the match.
However, considering the performance of our players today, they should not be ashamed of themselves. Having said that, I am well aware that many of our supporters are very disappointed at the fact that we did not win again. We are certainly disappointed as well.
