After playing the match against Matsumoto Yamaga F.C.-Team Manager Finke

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke after playing in the second round of the 89th Emperor’s Cup against Matsumoto Yamaga F.C.
After playing as we did today, we will have to have highly concentrated practice so that we can prove to our fans and supporters that we can play solidly again.
It is certainly not uncommon as part of playing soccer matches that we end up with a result like today’s. Nonetheless, we need to critically analyze the reasons why we ended up with today’s result.
In reality, our team had several opportunities to score goals. However, we were not able to make the most of such opportunities. During the match, unfortunately, we lost a goal as we did. After we lost the goal, we certainly did create some chances to score goals. But, we were not able to score goals even when we had several opportunities to kick the ball at short range from the goal.
Of course, all of these things happen as part of a soccer match. However, I think our mindset also had something to do with what happened and what we did on the pitch today. It is certainly necessary for us to analyze what happened today so that we can have a better result next time.
Now, I would like to congratulate our opponent team. They showed wonderful fighting spirit even after they scored a goal. I think they played a fantastic match without giving up on their physical strength. I felt as though they had created a living “wall” in their penalty area by moving around vigorously. For such reasons, I would like to congratulate them well.
