We will learn to build on the next from today’s loss-Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the J. League 7th Sec match against Omiya Ardija

It was a real pity that we lost the match. We have often struggled to score goals during past derby matches. We were also aware that Omiya Ardija would press us from the front. For this reason, we were a little too cautious at the beginning of the match. We made too many side and back passes during the first half of the match. As for the opponent team, they were playing more aggressively against us. Under such a situation, we lost a goal towards the end of the first half of the match when we had one less player.

During the second half, our team managed to play pressing soccer by taking some risks while keeping our opponent players in their side of the pitch. However, when Omiya Ardija scored a goal and started to lead the match, we lost our calmness especially when we were trying to make the last pass to score a last goal to finish off the match. It was a terribly painful loss for us and I am very sorry for our supporters who cheered for us. I am also terribly sorry for my players who tried hard during the second half. What I would like to ask everyone is their continued support for our players.

Things like this happen when playing soccer. However, we know the path we are on is going in the right direction. For this reason, I ask for ongoing support. As the team manager of the team, I am responsible for the team’s loss. Though we worked to prepare for a good start to the match, we failed to do so in reality. If people wish to criticize the team, please criticize me instead. Meanwhile, I would like to ask them for their warm support. Today’s loss attributes to me and I am the one who should take the blame.
