Try to win the home match forth time in a row in Saitama Stadium by believing in ourselves

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke on the day before the 2010 season J. League Twenty Eighth Sec. against Montedio Yamagata

We have had very intensive training this week. However, what was disappointing for me was that Tatsuya Tanaka, Ponte, Spiranovic and Naoki Yamada have not been able to join the team training sessions yet. Nonetheless, many more players have now joined our team training and have performed well compared to four or five weeks ago.
I think our opponent for the weekend match will form a solid defense and try to block our counter attacks. We can see this type of scenario happening. For this reason, we should not lose our concentration in any of the situations we are to face. Unfortunately, we lost our previous match against Jubilo Iwata in such a pitiful way with the score result of one to two. However, during the past week I have had discussions with my team members about our issues including mental ones, and I believe things have improved.
It is natural to feel sad about the match we had for a few days. I think it is necessary for players to lament over such a poor result. Our players have shown much greater motivation during the training sessions we had this week. Every player has had high quality training. I felt that no players doubted their play styles and every one was working towards the same direction. I think this is extremely important.
We would like to work and play together as one and give a high quality performance with good concentration. If we will be able to win the tomorrow’s match, this means that we will win our home match in Saitama Stadium for the forth time in a row. We would certainly like to achieve a positive result tomorrow.
