The start of the match will be especially tough-Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the J. League 18th Sec match against Albirex Niigata

Albirex Niigata has been playing very aggressively since they had a new team manager. I have the impression that their defense is getting a lot better. They aim to play first with good defense and then make counter attacks.

I think the next match will be a difficult away match for us. Since we are ranked among the top teams after finishing the first half of the season, any team we play against will be highly motivated. I expect this will be the case for the rest of the season. With a highly motivated opponent team, I think the start of the match will be especially tough. We must respond well not only to break free from but also push back our opponent’s fierce attacks. If we can press our opponent team well without being pressured by their briskness, we can have a good match tomorrow.

Besides that, all we have to do is to continue to play the type of soccer we have been playing. It is also good to make improvements where necessary. Though it is expected to be very tough, I am sure we will conquer the match as we have had good training.

Before the season started, I stressed the importance of focusing on every match rather than chasing after the overall results and the standings. Now that the first half of the season is over, I am aware that people are focusing more on our over all results and for us to remain among the top teams in the J. League standings. But, as far as we are concerned, I will ask my team players to focus on and perform well in every match rather than saying some big words. Now, let us wait and see where we will be at the end of the season after we play all the remaining matches by placing importance on every match we play. At any rate, we will focus on every match, one at a time.
