The important thing is how we make the most of our scoring opportunities-Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the 3rd round of the Emperor’s Cup match against Kamatamare Sanuki

First of all, I would like to say how regrettable it was to finish the last weekend’s match with a very sad result. We were shocked by the result. The feeling of the shock still speared through deeply everyone’s mind including the players and staff members of the team. However, the next match will not wait for us. For this reason, we must reset our minds quickly. It will be important for us to learn from the previous match to make some improvement for the next. I am confident that our team members have always learnt a good lesson from every loss they had. As has been the case with the past few matches we have had, we are expected to struggle as the opponent team will be defending themselves hard in their side of the pitch. I imagine the match tomorrow will unfold in a similar manner. I think our opponent team will aim to make counter attacks by stealing the ball when we make some mistakes. Looking at the members of our opponent team, most of their players are former J. League players. They also won their away match against Tosu in the second round. In regards to the Sagan Tosu, I think that team has achieved the best home match results for this season. But, having said that, tomorrow’s opponent had won against Sagan Tosu.

Considering our opponent’s past strategies, it is understandable if tomorrow’s match unfolds as the match we had against Consadole Sapporo. During the match, we had enough opportunities to score goals and what mattered was whether we would be able to make the most of such opportunities. I am sure we will be able to create more scoring chances tomorrow. We must make the most of such opportunities by learning a lesson from our recent match against Consadole Sapporo.

If we will be able to score the first goal, I am certain that the rest of the match will unfold in a very different way. When our opponent team members will be under pressure to score goals, they will have no choice but to come forward rather than defending themselves. When this happens, we will have some advantage. It will be important for us to maximize the scoring chances and increase the number of goals against the changes.
