Team Manager Mischa – pre-match press conference the day before the match against Albirex Niigata

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 11th sec match against Albirex Niigata

We will play tomorrow’s match after a number of defeats and I must admit that our team’s condition is not at its best. We have recently had a hard schedule playing both J. League and ACL matches. Because of the frequent long distance travel and matches, our players have suffered from fatigue and some of them have even sustained injuries. I believe these were contributing factors in the results of our past two matches.

As we haven’t been able to secure enough time for our training as a result of the number of matches we played over a short period of time, I am afraid that our team’s overall approach is a little out of alignment. Nonetheless, we must soldier on to win the match and I believe that we are better than our opponent in terms of team quality.

Albirex Niigata has now a new team manager and I am sure he will be observing the performances of his team’s players on the pitch in the stands tomorrow. For this reason, our opponent players will be eager to prove their ability in front of their new team manager. As this will be the case, I am certain that Albirex Niigata players will come to the stadium with a strong determination and high motivation to win the match tomorrow.

We want to win against such an opponent by running hard, fighting fiercely and observing the rules. All we have to do is to be solidly united and do our utmost in order to overcome our current hardship.
