I am convinced that we are moving forward towards the right future–Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the J. League 31st Sec match against Kawasaki Frontale

Having finished the match, I am not sure why our team had lost today. For whatever the reasons, we lost the match as a matter of fact. As far as I was able to see, our team controlled the match from the beginning and managed to score the first goal. It was justifiable that our team scored the first goal. They scored the goal in a very calm manner. If our team was able to lead the match a little longer, I am sure there would have been a very different outcome. Unfortunately, our team lost a goal in a fee kick. Then, we lost another goal in another free kick.

However, our team attacked the opponent team well several times. The team controlled the match and created many scoring opportunities with dangerous attacks. Our team also had more free kick chances in critical positions. Since I have been in this business for a long time, I have experienced similar matches in the past. Though we lost the match today, there is no need for us to be pessimistic about the type of soccer we have been playing. Our players are certainly feeling sad and disappointed. However, it is not necessary for the team to look down. The team lost the match in the end. But, I would like to let my team members know that they do not have to be pessimistic.

Our team led the match in a very calm manner especially during the second half of the match. They were able to make several decisive opportunities calmly in combination plays. It was not easy for the team to do so when our opponent team was defending themselves in our side of the pitch. But, our team members were creating several great scoring chances. However, there were several decisive scoring chances which our team was not able to nail down. When playing soccer, this type of things happens. Nonetheless, our team members played Urawa Reds style soccer today.

I am sure not only our supporters but also Kawasaki Frontale supporters would agree with me in this regard. There is no doubt that Urawa Reds is going in the right direction. There is also no doubt that the team is moving forward towards the right future. I am convinced of this today. In regards to the result, I am truly disappointed. However, I enjoyed our team’s performance today. Obviously, not being able to make the most of the number of opportunities we created is our continuing problems, which we must address. We will work to make sure that we increase the number of goals we score out of the chances we create.
