All we need right now is one positive outcome-Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the J. League 10th Sec match against Serezo Osaka

Prior to making a comment about tomorrow’s match, I would like to convey a few words regarding the ACL. Unfortunately, we lost in the group stage of the ACL. It was truly a sad event not only for me and my players but also for Urawa Reds staff members and supporters. However, we believe that our team was able to show a commanding performance in the Asian arena as a representative from Japan.

We tried to conquer the past ACL matches by having the best team at all times. By doing so, I think our team was able to show good performances. However, during the past hard schedule of playing both in the ACL and the J. League, our team unfortunately has lost the last two J. League matches as well. I do not want to make any excuses but our team lost the two matches namely the ones against Omiya Ardija and Shimizu S-Pulse as they were played after a very hard ACL match. Nonetheless, we have to accept these results as reality. Withdrawing from the ACL after scoring 10 points is a very hard thing for us to do. Perhaps we were the first team in the past ACL history which will be withdrawing from the League after scoring 10 points.

Recently, our team had been struggling to secure good results when playing crucial matches both in the ACL and the J. League. Under such a difficult situation, we have to play an away match against a very formidable team, Serezo Osaka tomorrow. All we need right now is one positive outcome. If we can achieve a positive result, our team can regain confidence. Under the past busy schedule, it was difficult for us to have proper training. But from now, we can secure enough time for our training as well. I think we will be able to be in a better condition than before when we play upcoming matches. In addition, Umesaki and Haraguchi have come back to the team who were away from us due to their injuries. Unfortunately, Abe is suspended from playing in tomorrow’s match. However, I will give serious thought on how to make the best decision so that we can get the right members for tomorrow’s match.
