We will definitely come back to the final stage and dedicate our victory to our supporters–Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the Yamazaki Nabisco Cup final match against Kashiwa Reysol

We deeply regret losing the final match today. However, we weren’t outdone by our opponent in terms of our performance. During the first half of the match, our team took an aggressive approach to score goals while Kashiwa Reysol tried to execute counter attacks in defense. Having said that, we started the match in a cautious manner. Our team lost a goal during extra time at the end of the first half of the match. During the second half of the match, as we were behind, we made aggressive attacks by taking risks and created many good opportunities. But, we lost the match in the end as we weren’t able to nail the scoring opportunities we created. However, I don’t regard today’s defeat as a big tragedy. We should hold our chests out as I know our players did their best. As for our supporters, I feel terribly sorry for them for our defeat as they came out to the stadium and filled it with red to show their support today. But, I trust that we were able to show them how much potential we possess to be successful in the J1 league. I don’t regard today’s final as our last chance to play in the final. We will definitely come back to the final stage and dedicate our victory to our supporters.
