We were not able to make the most of the opportunities we had-Team Manager Mischa

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the J. League 10th Sec match against Serezo Osaka

We had quite a good match today. I think our spectators were able to feeling a good sense of tension during today’s match. Our team performed superior to our opponent throughout the match. However, we were not able to make the most of the many opportunities we had. When this happens, it becomes difficult to achieve a good result. If a team constantly fails to embrace scoring opportunities in a match, the team can lose the match.

In my opinion, Serezo Osaka is the most aggressive and creative team in the League. Against such a team, our team managed to create many chances without our formation being broken apart by our opponent for most of the match. Conversely, our team attacked Serezo Osaka aggressively to create scoring opportunities by breaking their formation. For this reason, our performance, especially our attacks were better than our opponent team today. However, we were not able to make the most of the opportunities we had created, which made it difficult for us to achieve the result we wanted. Regarding Serezo Osaka’s goal scoring, I felt that their attempts were not so much of a strain.

Urawa Reds played creatively and made very dangerous attacks again today. We need to improve our scoring skills so that we can achieve good results by making the most of opportunities more effectively from now.
