We are to gain three points by playing a fascinating match

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke on the day before the 2010 season J. League Twenty Sixth Sec. against Cerezo Osaka

First of all, I am very pleased to see so many players came back to the team. Having many options at hand is very good for us. It is true that some of the players have only practiced with the team once or twice. Nonetheless, they have recovered to the point where they can go thorough all the training programs. There is only one third of the season left to go from now. Having more options provides a better environment for us to finish the last stage of the season.
Regarding the main players, Ponte and Naoki Yamada are away from the team due to their injuries. They are important attackers for our team. Not having them in our team makes it difficult for us. However, having said that, other team members are now back with us.
The last time the team lost was when they played against Nagoya Grampus on 5 August. The team has not tasted the bitterness of losing a match from then. Certainly, we would like this to continue. For this reason, we should be highly motivated to gain three points by winning the match.
Cerezo Osaka has many quality players. They can play high quality matches as a team. I believe I made a comment during this year after we won against Cerezo Osaka. I think it was our fourth sec. match. Back then I said that Cerezo Osaka was an excellent team and the team would achieve great results just like Hiroshima Sanfrecce did during the last season. Many Cerezo players try to prove their potential and are still valid in playing in the J. League. In this sense, I think they are a team full of hungry spirit. They have many players with good techniques and the team plays fascinating combination soccer.
I hope the match we will play will be a fascinating one as two teams which are similar in playing aggressive soccer will come up against each other. I also hope that we will win the match and score three points in the end.
