Team Manager Otsuki – press conference after the match against Consadole Sapporo

Comment from Team Manager Otsuki after the Meiji Yasuda J1 League 9th Sec match against Consadole Sapporo

First of all, it was a pity that we were not able to score three points by winning the match. During our training, we had anticipated and prepared for many different situations. However, we were not able to carry out a quality performance in terms of our movements around the goal area and the numbers of goals we attempted to score. I feel bad on behalf of our players for this. However, they were able to do well in terms of building up the game, their defense as well as making the attacks from the front. For this reason, it would have been great if they were able to translate these good aspects into quality performance beyond that. Mid-way through the match, our players started to struggle as a result of losing their stamina and lagging behind in terms of their running. However, thanks to the impressively loud cheering from the spectators in the stadium, they were able to hang on. It would have been great had they been able to pull out a winning match in response to the cheerful support. That was my impression of today’s game.
