Team Manager Mischa - press conference the day before the match against Shimizu S-Pulse

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 2nd Stage 11th Sec match against Shimizu S-Pulse

Though there is a gap between Urawa Reds and Shimizu S-Pulse as to where both teams stand in the J. League standings, I don’t think there is a huge difference between the two teams in terms of capabilities. Shimizu S-Pulse has a number of high quality players such as Tese Chong, Utaka, Duke, Omae and Honda. That’s why, I think they are capable enough to win against any team they play.

Teams in the J. League are all competitive and it is difficult to predict which team wins. What I am trying to say here is that the match we will have tomorrow will be a very difficult one for us. Shimizu S-Pulse not only has a great motivation to win so that they can remain in the J1 no matter what but also they are of high quality. As this is the case, the match will be a very difficult one. Having said that, we also want to score enough points after playing the match tomorrow. All we have to do is to play courageously with our utmost efforts in order to seize a victory.
