Team Manager Mischa – press conference after the match against Kawasaki Frontale

Comment from Team Manager Mischa after the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League 13th sec match against Kawasaki Frontale

We knew well before the match that Kawasaki Frontale has been in good condition. During the first half of the match, we challenged ourselves to put pressure on them from the front. While some things worked well, other things didn’t. The match became very difficult after we lost goals as we did. It was a shame that we lost the first two goals.

As for the second half of the match, I wanted our team to come from behind even though our opponent team was leading the game. As a matter of fact, our team controlled the match and had created several good scoring opportunities. We had managed to score a goal as a result. We also had enough chances to score a second goal. I believe our team was the one that was putting more pressure on our opponent team during the second half. It was unfortunate that we gave our opponent a penalty kick opportunity after we missed their header and lost our third goal.

Nonetheless, our players did their best without giving up until the last moment despite a very tough match. Having said that, if we continue to lose matches like we have over the recent weeks, it becomes harder to win the title of any championship. For this reason, we will remediate our issues firmly.
