Team Manager Mischa and Kashiwagi attend official pre-match press conference

An official AFC Champions League 2015 pre-match press conference was held at Saitama Stadium in the afternoon on 20 April ahead of the group stage’s MD5 match against Suwon Samsung Bluewings which will be held tomorrow. Urawa Reds Team Manager Mischa and player Yosuke Kashiwagi attended the press conference to answer media questions.

Comment from Team Manager Mischa
My comment will be similar to what I said during the previous pre-match press conference we had before the match against Beijin Guoan Football Club.

We truly wished to have won the match against Beijin Guoan and our team played a good game. However, our team unfortunately finished the match with a drawn result at that time. Had we won the match and gained three points, we would have been in a much better position. As we gained one point, we are still in with a chance. However, the possibility of us winning the title is now very narrow.

Our chance is very limited as a result of finishing the previous match against Beijing Guoan with a draw. As a result, we desperately need to win the match tomorrow in order to break through the group stage. We will work hard just like we did in the previous match in order to win the match tomorrow. We do not wish to travel a long way to Australia to play our final sec away match just to play a throwaway match. Having a chance to win the title until the very end is extremely important not only for the team but also for the club and our supporters.

Suwon Samsung Bluewings is a very strong and great team. I heard that the opponent team is in good condition after achieving a great victory against FC Seoul last weekend. Having said that, I know our team is capable of winning against such a strong team. We will come to the stadium tomorrow with a strong determination to win the match.

Comment from Yosuke Kashiwagi
To be honest with you, our prospect is harsh and we are expecting another difficult match. However, there shouldn’t be any problems if we perform what we need to perform. We will fight with full might without abandoning our hope to break through the group stage.
