Team Manager Mischa – pre-match press conference the day before the match against Sagan Tosu

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League second stage 11th sec match against Sagan Tosu

As we now only have seven J. League matches remaining to play, each match will have significant importance to us. Though, the most important match for us right now is the match we will play against Sagan Tosu tomorrow.

Sagan Tosu has been doing really well in the second stage. They have clear team strategies in place. They have accumulated good points thus far with their discipline, stamina and strong moves around the ball. They play defensive matches with the intention of not losing any points and aim to score goals with counter attacks and set plays. They are not an easy opponent for us to play against.

We have discussed our play strategies against Sagan Tosu and trained ourselves well based on these strategies throughout the week. As we know what exactly we need to do, all we have to do is to remain concentrated to execute this.
We are required to win. We will be solidly united in order to seize a victorious result.

Unfortunately, Umesaki sustained a terrible anterior cruciate ligament injury on his left knee during the Levain Cup quarter final first match played on 31 August and he now must undergo an operation. For the sake of Umesaki, we will do our utmost to play a good game as a united team.
