Team Manager Mischa – pre-match press conference the day before the match against Gamba Osaka

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League first stage 10th Sec match against Gamba Osaka

It may be fair to say that we are playing another match referred to as a national derby in a row tomorrow. I expect the match will be a very difficult one as we lost our previous match against Kashima Antlers and it will be important for Gamba Osaka as they have been struggling to achieve good results so far this season.

While we had little time to address what needs to be addressed during training due to the limited time we have had since our previous match, I did have a chance to speak with my players during our meeting. I have told the team that it is crucial for us to get back into a good condition and bring back the style of soccer when we were doing well as we are currently struggling to achieve positive results.

In the world of soccer, not everything can be smooth sailing. Over a long period of time, our team had constantly performed well and achieved good results. Obviously, we will go through a period when things do not go as we hope and our results will suffer as a result. However, when we go through such a period, how we keep making good efforts in order to bring on a positive result and change things for the better is extremely important for us. We will fight through at full stretch as usual in order to win the match tomorrow. We will focus on what we need to do rather than rushing to achieve something new all the more for the current situation we are in.
