Team Manager Mischa – pre-match press conference the day before the match against Avispa Fukuoka

Comment from Team Manager Mischa the day before the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J. League first stage 3rd match against Avispa Fukuoka

Before I talk about tomorrow’s match, I would like to express my thoughts on the Great East Japan Earthquake that happened on 11th March five years ago. On that day, so many people lost their lives and many more had to leave their home town with their family as the tragic event unfolded. I hear that there are still many people who are going through great difficulties today as they are not able to get back to their normal life. I know there are so many people out there who need support.

Urawa Reds wishes to continue its support of those in need and we want to play a role in helping those people to be able to regain their normal life back. By taking this opportunity, I would like to express my sincere condolences again to the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

With regard to the match against Jubilo Iwata, the match ended with a bitter result not only for us but also for those who supported us. We were not able to output what we had prepared to do during the match and I feel responsible for the team’s defeat.

Our next opponent, Avispa Fukuoka is capable of making swift counter attacks from their well-organized defense. As this is the case, we are expecting a tough match which we won’t take lightly. Since we had a difficult first home match against Jubilo Iwata, we must show a different performance and result from that match to our fans and supporters in order to regain our momentum. We would like to share the delight with our fans and supporters again by fighting and winning the match together tomorrow.
