Comment of the Gert Engels(Team-Manager)
Today’s game was a match-up fought between two top teams for the championships which was played after the AFC Champions League game. Considering it was played at an away ground under such circumstances, a draw was not a bad result for us. However, as was felt among the team players in the locker room, I feel slightly disappointed by that result. But, I am very much pleased with the content of the game we played. In the first half of the game, it took us about 10 minutes to seize the momentum. However, there were a few decisive moments later on and Edmilson managed to score a goal. Even in the second half, we were not taking the defensive at all. However, it was painful that we lost a goal at the beginning of the second half. But, we were able to continue to play well. Especially around 10 to 15 minutes before the end of the game, we were able to play in the opponent’s side of the field near the penalty area and Ponte had a few good opportunities to attempt deliveries. Hirakawa and Soma also had opportunities to attack. In this sense, I am not content with the fact that we only scored one goal today. However, considering that we played a series of games lately and especially this game was played after the ACL game, I think our team players still had good moves and a good fighting spirit. I am very pleased in that regard. For this reason, I am very content. I have a relatively optimistic outlook in terms of the way we tackle our next challenges.
