Urawa Reds players distributed posters and promotional flyers to local shopkeepers.

On the 29th, in preparation for the 2026/27 Meiji Yasuda J1 League and 2026/27 WE League, which will kick off in August, players visited shopping districts in Urawa, Kita-Urawa, and Minami-Urawa to distribute posters announcing the new season's schedule and promotional flyers for the opening of the season, and interacted with local residents.

This initiative was carried out with the aim of expressing our renewed gratitude to the shopping associations and shops that support Urawa Reds on a daily basis and help revitalize the local community together with the club.
On the day of the event, players from Urawa Reds and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Urawa Reds Ladies participated. Players, club staff, and representatives from local shopping districts split into four teams, representing the west and east exits of Urawa Station, Kita-Urawa, and Minami-Urawa, and visited their respective areas.

In the Urawa Station West Exit area, Hiiro Komori Sakiko Ikeda Kaito Yasui, along with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Urawa Reds Ladies Ikeda Sakiko, Sakakibara Kotono, and Kawafune Akemi. In the Urawa Station East Exit area, Ado Onaiwu and Harumi Minamino participated, along with Ladies players Ito Miki, Shiori Fukuda, and Kikuchi Maria. In the Kita-Urawa area, Kota Kudo and Shuta Sasa participated, along with Ladies players Goto Wakaba, Kumazawa Kaho, and Onishi Wakana. In the Minami-Urawa area, Yoshiaki Arai and Yoichi Naganuma participated. With the men's and women's seasons overlapping and both starting in August, this joint activity provided an opportunity for the players to interact with each other.

The players greeted each store individually, took commemorative photos with the store staff, signed posters announcing the new season's schedule, and handed out posters and flyers.
This visit was not only about handing out posters, but also an important opportunity for the players to directly express their gratitude for the ongoing support. Even during the short visit, players and store staff were seen exchanging words and smiling for photos in various locations.

Furthermore, given the continuing intense heat, we conducted awareness campaigns to prevent heatstroke in conjunction with our promotional activities for the start of the new season.
During our visits to the shopping district, we distributed awareness materials on heatstroke prevention. Furthermore, at Urawa Station, with the cooperation of JR Urawa Station and other relevant parties, we conducted awareness-raising activities for station users.
With the cooperation of Saitama Prefecture, we handed out heatstroke prevention awareness leaflets and materials provided by the prefecture, urging people to take precautions against heatstroke, such as frequent hydration and breaks.
During the activities, people who noticed the players stopped to talk to them. The players handed out flyers and awareness materials to each person, interacting directly with members of the community.

In order to raise awareness about preventing heatstroke, our official partner, Mitsubishi Foods, provided us with "Eitaro Sohonten Salt Candy, Slightly Plum Flavored," which we distributed to some shopping associations.

Through this activity, the players and staff of Urawa Reds were able to reaffirm that the club is supported by many people in the community, local businesses, government agencies, and related organizations.
As we head into the new season, we will, of course, strive to achieve results on the pitch, but as a club rooted in the community, we will continue to work with the local people on various activities.
