Regarding defamation on social media

Thank you very much for your continued warm support for Urawa Reds.

Following MEIJI YASUDA J1 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE Round 1 Trial against Fagiano Okayama on May 31st (Sunday), we have confirmed that some players' social media accounts have received defamatory messages that harm the character of the players and their families. The club takes this matter very seriously and reiterates this point strongly.

Regardless of the reason, any actions that harm the dignity of players, staff, or their families go far beyond mere criticism and constitute a human rights violation. Urawa Reds will absolutely not tolerate such actions, under any circumstances.
Regarding posts deemed malicious, we have already secured evidence and are considering specific actions, including reporting to the police and taking legal action.

Social media is a platform for communication that many people use on a daily basis. Posts that harm specific individuals are nothing less than violations of human rights. We ask that everyone reconsider the appropriate use of social media.
