Regarding defamation on social media

Thank you very much for your continued warm support for Urawa Reds.

Following the recent match against Kawasaki Frontale, we have confirmed that some players' social media accounts have been targeted with defamatory messages that harm the character of the players and their families.
Last September, we issued a statement as a club in response to a similar incident, and we are deeply disappointed that this situation has been repeated despite that.

No matter how much frustration or anger may be expressed, actions that harm the dignity of individual players, staff, or their families go far beyond mere criticism and constitute a human rights violation, which Urawa Reds will absolutely not tolerate. We are prepared to take action against posts deemed malicious, including reporting to the police and legal action.

Let me reiterate that protecting an environment where players and staff can focus on their play and activities with peace of mind is of paramount importance to the club. At the same time, we hope that the human rights of our fans and supporters will be respected, and that healthy relationships will be fostered between them and the players and staff. Communication tools, including social media, are invaluable places for connecting our thoughts and feelings, so we ask once again that you use respectful and considerate language when communicating with them.
