"I hadn't had many opportunities to shoot, but then a good ball came rolling in, and although I thought about other plays besides shooting, I was able to swing my leg with all my might, so I think it went well."

(You were under pressure in the first half, but what did you focus on in terms of build-up and attacking?)
"Rather than the technical aspects, I think the biggest factor was that after 45 minutes, when we entered the second half, we were able to raise the team's morale and say, 'Let's step it up a notch again.'"

(What about being caught up when you were so close to winning?)
"I think there were two things that needed to be done: how to defend when we were setting up before a cross was made, and how to defend when a cross was made. We will take another look at what we have done as a team in this regard and make sure that it doesn't happen again."

(What about your first experience of a penalty shootout in MEIJI YASUDA J1 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE?)
"I don't usually get many opportunities to take penalty kicks, so being able to do so at an opportunity like this is a good experience, and I hope to win next time."

(What would you like to improve and what are your aspirations for the next match against Yokohama F･Marinos?)
"This is the last of our three away games, so we want to get three points in good form and beat Kashima Antlers at home."
