On the 1st, after the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 19 match against Yokohama FC [MATCH PARTNER Mitsubishi Heavy Industries], Samuel Gustafson, who scored two goals, one to tie the game and one to turn the game around, reflected on Trial including his own goals, and spoke about his enthusiasm for the FIFA Club World Cup.

(Is this your first two goals since joining Urawa Reds?)
"It's a great feeling and a very important win to stay in the title race. Of course it wasn't the best, great goal but it was very important for us to turn it around and I think everyone is feeling good right now."

(The first goal may not have been the prettiest one, but I think your decision to get in front of the goal was quick.)
"We broke down the defense from the back and advanced into the opponents' territory, and I was able to predict my chances early on, so I think we were able to gain an advantage in the box. I think I was a little lucky that Hiro (Ishihara Hirokazu) found me and sent me the ball, but I think it was a good attack as a team."

(I think the second goal was a bit lucky too, you took advantage of a big opportunity that came right in front of you.)
"We are able to create very dangerous situations for our opponents from set pieces, and we did that again today. Of course we were lucky that it hit the post, but I think goals like this are important goals if we want to stay in the top ranks."

(After pushing so hard in the first half and conceding a goal, it's easy to lose, but wasn't it good that we were able to recover from that?)
"We were in control for the first 20 to 30 minutes, but then Yokohama FC were in a low block, managed to escape and score that goal. They were a bit of a tough opponent, but I think the fact that we were able to turn the game around from there was a very important point."

(What do you think was the key to a good attack?)
"We have a certain shape. Rotations up front and other things like that create space. Looking at today's game as a whole, I think we played a decent game against an opponent with such a low book, but I feel we can improve even more."

(After this you will play in the FIFA Club World Cup. How did you feel about the atmosphere in the stadium after today's Trial?)
"As you can see, the fans and supporters were fantastic today as well. I feel they gave us great support. We need the support of our fans and supporters in the Club World Cup as well.
Once again, our fans and supporters have made today the best day ever."

(What kind of tournament will this Club World Cup be for Gustafsson's career?)
"I wonder. First of all, what kind of game plan will we have to win each Trial as a team? I think it's a great opportunity and a great challenge. We have some very exciting opponents to face. I think we can put up a good Trial. I'm looking forward to it."

(You've been working on getting your individual condition in order for the FIFA Club World Cup, but how are you doing now?)
"We've been playing a lot of Trial, and there's still a little time until the first match of the Club World Cup, so I think we'll be able to prepare well. I feel like we're in really good form right now."
