Yasui: “(Saitama Stadium) is a place where we must not lose.

On the 29th, Kaito Yasui answered questions from the media online after training and talked about his current situation and his enthusiasm for the Meiji Yasuda Seimei J1 League Section 11 match Sanfrecce Hiroshima to be held at Saitama Stadium on the 31st.

(In the training camp, I might have wanted to play at the volante, but now I think I can compete for a good position at the top position. How do you plan to use your strengths under the top?)
I am trying to move like a volante in the top position. Since I am one position higher, the coach has told me to be conscious of aiming for a shot (Maciej Skorza), and if I can get involved with the ball in that position, I think I can go more smoothly into the attack. I play at the top of the team with this in mind. As for my ability, I think I have been able to gradually bring out my ability to defend in a high position.

(The front line players are changing, but how do you plan to make the most of each of their features? For example, it will be different whether Shinzo Koroki or Jose Kante player will play in the one-top position, and the players on the sides will have their own characteristics, too.)
I am conscious of using the surroundings to make the most of the characteristics of each player. Koroki I am aware that each player has his own characteristics, and I try to make the best use of those characteristics. Kante often plays as a post player, so I am conscious of picking up the second ball. Many players dribble to the sides of the field, so I sometimes put the ball out behind them, but if I want them to play with their feet, I ask them to stretch out to the sides and play the ball there. I think each player has his or her own ideas, so I try to play accordingly.

(Do you get the impression that you can increase the variety of your attack by adapting to your surroundings?)
(Do you feel that you can get more variety in your attacks by playing in sync with the players around you?

(He was not a member of the team for the first two games of the season, but has played in every game since then. Cerezo Osaka (He was not a member of the team for the first two games of the season, but has played in every game since then.)
I would like to score a goal again at some point, and I think it would be bad for me if I lose such an opportunity to show off my skills. If I can get a clear result, I think there is a possibility that I can continue to be involved in games in the future. I am going into the games with that in mind.

(The previous game against Kyoto Sanga F.C. was a comfortable 2-0 win, but I think there were some issues to be addressed in terms of content. Hiroshima, your next opponent, is also a team with a unique pressing game. What do you want to improve from the Kyoto game for the Hiroshima game?)
I think it is very good that we kept the score at zero defensively, so I think it is important for the next match against Hiroshima to make some more overall movements in coordination, as well as to make some more arrangements in attack. The strength in these aspects was not so strong against Kyoto, and the data shows that the overall mileage was low, so I think we can play our own soccer if we can improve in these areas.

(Yasui personally, I think there were many scenes in which you were superior to Sota Kawazaki, who was selected for the Japan national team; did you feel a positive response?)
I don't know much, but I think we lost in those areas. I don't know much, but I don't want to lose in those areas. I don't know who is watching, and if I can put myself out there, I think I have a chance of making the Japan national team in the not-too-distant future, so I am conscious of not cutting corners in any of my matches.

(Ogiwara said that when attacking, Ken Iwao players are in the center as anchors and Atsuki Ito players play like right shadows, so the left side is easily open for space. When Yasui player got involved, he said he could go forward, but how do you think about the balance between his movement in the midfield as No. 10 and helping the left attacker?)
I am told quite a bit about my positioning, but it depends on the formation of the opposing team at the time, so sometimes I go in where I can and sometimes I fall back too much, but that can be an instruction from the team, so it's difficult to do. Against Kyoto, I think it would have helped the left side of the team if I had entered the space more. I think I could have shown my face more, but if I dropped back too much, I would lose the link with the front, and I was conscious Koroki of that and tried to match the players. I think it was not good that I did not do that well in the first half.

(In the Ken Iwao player's comment after the Kyoto game, he said that at halftime Maciej coach talked about the need to not only connect cleanly, but also to kick into space and push up. I think Hiroshima is also a team that wants to defend from a high position, but do you keep connecting and still move forward? Or do you sometimes go over their heads and push up together to where Koroki players and Kante players are doing their best? How do you feel about that kind of variation?)
I think the idea of the soccer we want to play is to change sides quickly and connect, but I think there are some areas where we can't just do that. I think it is necessary to change things like aiming at the back in such situations, depending on the circumstances of the game. At first, I think it is good to be conscious of connecting, but when that does not work, I think it is a sense that we have to change the way we do things.

(In terms of priorities, do you mean that we should try what we want to do first, and if it doesn't work out, change it afterwards?)
I think that would be better."

(There was also a mention earlier about the Japan national team, with volleyball players of the same generation and younger being selected, and coach Hajime Moriyasu is scheduled to observe the next game against Hiroshima. How do you view the Japan national team again?)
I think that's where I want to be. It's not that I want to become a player right now, but I would like to eventually become an active player in the national team."

(Has your sense of distance from the national team changed as a result of your constant appearances in the J1 League?)
(Has your sense of distance from the national team changed as a result of your constant appearances in the J1 League? I feel that I can do more compared to Japan's national team players, so maybe I feel closer to them than I did last year.

(The YBC Lewan Cup match against Kawasaki Frontale was their first home game in the J1 League after three matches. What kind of fight do you want to have at Saitama Stadium?)
I think it is a place where we must not lose. I think we need three points to catch up with the top teams with only a few games to play, as well as the content. I think it would be best if we can get three points with good contents."

(Maciej The coach told the players that if they want to dream of the title, they need to improve their away data.)
I don't feel much, but I have the feeling that the ACL (AFC Champions League) final was the peak of the season, or that we have fallen off a little, so the only negative thing I can say is that I feel that way.

(Was the victory against Kyoto despite the opponent's pace partly because you were inspired by Maciej the coach's words?)
The coach yelled at me at halftime, so I think that changed the atmosphere.

(How was he yelled at?)
(How was he yelled?) "There were a lot of mistakes near our own goal, so he said, 'If we are going to do that, let's kick more forward and push up. I thought he was right."
