We would like to inform you that on (Sat) at MEIJI YASUDA J1 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE Round 17 match against FC Tokyo [MATCH PARTNER BizReach], we will be holding an assistance dog awareness event, "Welcome! Assistance Dog," as part of Urawa Reds' SDGs initiatives.

Assistance dogs are "guide dogs," "hearing dogs," and "service dogs" that support people with disabilities affecting their eyes, ears, limbs, etc. They are important partners for people with disabilities to achieve independence and participate in society.
Assistance dogs receive the necessary training in accordance with the "Assistance Dog for Persons with Disabilities Act," and their users participate in society while taking responsibility for the hygiene and behavioral management of their assistance dogs. Furthermore, facilities that accept assistance dogs are legally obligated to allow them to accompany their users.

Urawa Reds, with the hope of raising awareness about assistance dogs among as many people as possible and creating a stadium and city filled with smiles together, will be holding an assistance dog awareness event in cooperation with the Japan Guide Dog Association and the Japan Hearing Dog Promotion Association.

Overview of the assistance dog awareness event "Welcome! Assistance Dogs"
Implementation details
(1) A hearing assistance dog from the "Japan Hearing Assistance Dog Promotion Association" will be in attendance!
The Japan Hearing Dog Promotion Association, as the first organization in Japan to produce hearing dogs, supports the independence and social participation of people with hearing impairments through the training and promotion of hearing dogs.
On the day of the event, our PR dog, Himawari-chan, will also be at Saitama Stadium to interact with everyone and promote the work of hearing assistance dogs and the importance of their role!

(2) Installation of donation boxes for the "Japan Guide Dog Association" and the "Japan Hearing Dog Promotion Association"
The Japan Guide Dog Association and the Japan Hearing Dog Promotion Association will be conducting fundraising activities.
Those who contribute to the fundraising will receive an original Urawa Reds clear file.
All donations we receive from everyone will be given to the respective associations.

If you see an assistance dog at a stadium or in town...
Since assistance dogs rely heavily on their user's commands, please refrain from trying to get their attention by talking to them, staring at them, or touching them, and instead observe them with warmth and respect.
Even with an assistance dog by your side, there may be times when they need your support. If you see them looking like they're in trouble, please offer to help by saying something like, "Can I help you with anything?"
